Description
Discover the ancient tradition of Japanese incense with Kungyokudo, Japan’s oldest incense manufacturer since 1594. These premium Japanese incense sticks deliver a nostalgic and refreshing fragrance inspired by Yokohama’s historic port and Japan’s modernization in 1872.
Established near Hongwanji Temple in Kyoto, Kungyokudo has been crafting exceptional incense for over 400 years. Each incense stick is carefully handmade by the 22nd-generation masters, Kazuo and Chihaya Ouno, using traditional techniques passed down through centuries.
The Yokohama 1872 collection embodies Japan’s transformative era when steam trains connected Shimbashi to Yokohama, marking a crucial moment in Japanese history. This distinctive fragrance creates a calming atmosphere ideal for meditation, relaxation, or enhancing your home’s peaceful ambiance.
