Description
Discover the art of traditional Japanese lantern making with the Fores Beans S-142. Handcrafted in Gifu since 1949, this premium washi paper lantern features Mino washi paper and provides warm ambient lighting with an included E27 LED bulb (2700K warm white). The Suwa factory combines traditional techniques with modern design, offering an integrated production process from paper making to assembly.
Originally designed with a black cord, additional cable color options and custom finishes are available at our showroom. This authentic Japanese lighting piece measures Ø26 x H56 cm and showcases the renowned craftsmanship that has made Gifu lanterns famous worldwide through Isamu Noguchi’s Akari light sculptures.
A smaller version of The Bean is also available for those seeking a more compact design.
